Fuel Injector Basics

The fuel injectors on the 1994-1995 3.1L V6 Buick Century are located underneath the intake manifold plenum, which kind of complicates life a bit when it comes to testing them.

The good news is that these engines come equipped with a 10-pin fuel injector wiring harness connector that's mounted on top of the front valve cover (the one closest to the radiator).

This connector gives us a convenient access point to all six fuel injector circuits, allowing us to test the injectors without having to remove the intake manifold plenum.

One thing to keep in mind is that the fuel injector harness side of the connector (the side that goes to the injectors) has male terminals. The engine wiring harness side (the PCM side) uses female terminals.
