APPLIES TO: This fuel pump circuit wiring diagram applies to the following vehicles:

  • 4.0L V6 Ford Explorer: 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010.
  • 4.0L V6 Mercury Mountaineer: 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010.

The wiring diagram includes the following circuits:

  • Fuel Pump Relay.
  • Fuel Pump Inertia Switch.
    • Location: The fuel pump inertia switch is tucked behind the passenger-side kick panel —below the glove box, near the floorboard area.
  • Fuel Pump Driver Module.
    • Location: You'll find the fuel pump driver module in the D-pillar section —at the rear of the passenger side cargo area. It's mounted behind the plastic trim panel, between the right rear wheel housing and the liftgate, just behind the passenger-side tail light.
