 
The EEC-IV PCM used on the 1990-1995 3.8L V6 Ford Taurus and Mercury Sable is installed on the firewall, near the right-rear corner of the engine bay.
If you're standing in front of the car, you'll find it tucked in next to the passenger-side strut tower.
In the photo below, the arrow shows you the exact spot where it's mounted.
EEC IV 60-Pin PCM Location
 
Your Taurus or Sable's fuel injection computer goes by a few different names. It's often called:
- The Electronic Control Unit (ECU).
- The Powertrain Control Module (PCM).
In Ford's terminology, this same computer is known as the Electronic Engine Control (EEC) Module —and in these 1990-1995 3.8L V6 models, it's specifically the EEC-IV version.
