Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) Wiring Diagram (PART 1)
NOTE: The throttle position sensor (TPS) wiring diagrams and info in this page apply only to 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001 -1.3L Suzuki Swift (Chevrolet Metro).
The PCM supplies 5 Volts DC on the LT GRN (light green) wire to 3 components. These are the: throttle position sensor (TPS), MAP sensor and the fuel tank pressure sensor.
If you're testing for a short to Ground, a short to power, or an open in this circuit, you'll need to unplug all sensors to test this circuit.
You can find the step-by-step testing procedure of the throttle position sensor (TPS) here: How To Test The TP Sensor (1998-2001 1.3L Swift / Chevy Metro).
Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) Wiring Diagram (PART 2)
Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) Diagnostic/Troubleshooting Notes:
The PCM supplies a sensor Ground on the LT GRN BLK (light green with black stripe) wire to a total of 7 sensors (including the throttle position sensor).
If you're testing for a short to Ground, a short to power, or an open in this circuit, you'll need to unplug all of the sensors/components this sensor Ground wire connects to.
Where To Buy The TPS And Save
You can buy the throttle position sensor for your Suzuki Swift (Chevrolet Metro) in just about any auto parts store but you'll spend a whole lot more because they mark it up quite a bit.
My suggestion is to buy it online or at least comparison shop to get an idea of how much it costs and how much you can save.
