PCM Pin Out Chart 1994 4.3L, 5.0L, 5.7L With Automatic Transmission 4L60-E or 4L80-E

The 1994 throttle body fuel injection (TBI) system's computer has 2 connectors. One is red and the other is a blue one. Each connector has 2 rows of 16 slots for a total of 32 slots.

One row of the RED PCM's connector is prefixed with the letter A and its 16 terminals are labeled A-1 thru' A-16. The other row is prefixed with the letter B and its 16 terminals are labeled B-1 thru' B-16 (see the illustration above).

IMPORTANT: This pin out chart applies only to the 1994 4.3L V-6, 5.0L V-8, and 5.7L V-8 pickups with an automatic transmission (4L60-E).

Safety Precautions

Here are some very important safety precautions when testing the wires coming out of the PCM connectors.

  1. If one or any of the wires on your GM vehicle DO NOT match the color stated in the pin out charts, then you should not use the pin out charts in this article. Why? Because this is the clearest indication that these ARE NOT the connector pin out charts for your particular vehicle.
  2. Never probe the front of the connector.
    1. You should use a wire piercing probe and probe the wire a few inches away from the connector.
    2. You should use a back probe.
  3. You should never disconnect any of the PCM connectors without first disconnecting the battery negative (-) terminal.
